Neo65 - 65% Aluminium Mechanical Keyboard Kit

The Neo65 by QwertyKeys is a simple and elegant 65% Mechanical Keyboard Barebone Kit.

The Weight on the backside also looks very clean and comes with a nice Orbit Engraving.

The Tri-Mode Hot-Swap PCB offers support for ANSI and ISO Layouts and Wired, 2.4 GHz Wireless and Bluetooth connections. The PCB is also QMK based and can be configured using VIA. Two 2200mAh batteries are included.

The Neo65 features a Dual Mounting System offering you the choice between Gasket or Gummy O-Ring Mount.

You can choose between an Aluminium Plate, FR4, POM, PC or Carbon Fiber Plate.

This product is a barebone keyboard kit without Switches and Keycaps, these need to be aquired separately. The oxidation of brass and copper weights is unavoidable due to the characteristics of these materials.

kleine Schwächen im Finish

Die Farbe weiß ist leider nicht so, wie auf den Bildern und besonders in Verbindung mit weißen Keycaps fällt dies auf, dass es eher in Richtung sehr helles grau geht.

Mein Weight M-Chroma hatte leider vollflächig Rückstände von der Schutzfolie, diese ließen sich zwar entfernen, aber dafür war gewisser Aufwand nötig, welcher die empfindliche Fläche schnell zerkratzen kann.

Ansonsten ein solides Keyboard und mit Hilfe der Anleitung für mich als Einsteiger ohne Probleme zu bauen und zu installieren. Die mitgelieferten Stabilizer habe ich nicht verwendet , kann zur Qualität leider wenig sagen. Da es mein erstes Custom Keyboard ist, fehlt mir ein Vergleich, aber insgesamt mit den kleinen Mängeln die ich hatte, ist das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis für mich ausbaubar.
