We are very pleased to be one of the first suppliers to offer matt3o's latest keycap profile creation, PBS also known as Penguin Belly Slide.
This uniform profile has been specially designed to sit as low as possible on the keyboard and at the same time be very comfortable for the fingertips.
What is a uniform profile? A uniform profile is a profile where all keycaps use the same height. This is different to the conventional Cherry or OEM profiles which use different keycap heights per row. PBS is therefore THE alternative to the well-known DSA and XDA profiles with better quality, lower key height and a more pleasant typing feel!
As the first color variant in the PBS profile, we offer minimalist and timeless keycaps with black letters/imprints on white PBT material.
As always, we try to support as many layouts as possible and still offer a fair price - so this keycap set also supports the typical 60% to 110% keyboards as well as Alice/Arisu, HHKB and even some 40% keyboards.
This product consists of keycaps only. There is no keyboard included.

Die Optik ist schlicht und zeitlos, schwarz auf weiß eben.
Der eigentliche Star dieser Keycaps ist aber definitv das Profil. Nachdem mir OEM und Cherry zu hoch waren, bin ich auf der Suche nach deutschen DSA Keycaps zufällig hier gelandet, war neugierig und habe bestellt. Nachdem ich diese Keycaps ausgepackt habe war ich sofort hin und weg.
Das flache Profil ist perfekt für mich. Sowohl die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit als auch die Form der Keycaps fühlt sich fantastisch an. Die Oberfläche ist samtig weich und die Finger sitzen wie selbstverständlich in der Wölbung der Keycaps. Die Verarbeitung ist bestens, keine Grade, der Druck ist zentriert und auch sonst keinerlei Materialfehler. Sie klingen zudem sehr angenehm auf Silent Switches.
Alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung 5/5. Nicht nur für die Keycaps auch für Monacokeys. Die Bestellung war unkompliziert und der Versand wahnsinnig schnell (Sonntagabend bestellt, Dienstag Morgen um 08:00Uhr hatte ich das Paket in der Hand).
Meine einzige Frage ist: Kommen mehr PBS Keycaps (in ISO DE)?
Fühlen sich sehr gut an. Fast schon samtig. Hören sich natürlich etwas "higher pitched" an als grössere Keycaps. Empfehle silent switches ;-) ... Zum schreiben grossartig. Zum zocken besser als xda, aber ich bevorzuge weiterhin hierfür cherry. Würde sofort zuschlagen wenn es hierfür noch extra caps geben würde, die ein wenig Akzente (klassisch (esc, f5-8), enter, pfeiltasten etc. )setzen würde. 🙏.. klare Empfehlung!
Angenehm überrascht von der Dicke des Materials, klingen absolut stimmig. Gleichmässig angeordnete Buchstaben, nirgendwo Versatz - 1a Qualität !
Das Profil liegt mir persönlich absolut perfekt zum schnellen schreiben. Die Kappen sind schlichtweg "Handschmeichler", perfekte Haptik !
Würde mich freuen in der Zukunft mehr Auswahl mit diesem Tastenprofil bei Euch zu finden !
When matt30 announced that he wanted to make a cap profile that was easy for designers to get into and could hit the shelves at a lower price point, he was not joking. PBS only having one row is amazing for ergo and custom builds, and MonacoKeys has ensured a great job with the alignment of the legends, which often is a point of issue with dye-sub caps.
Jeder, der (wie ich) immer nur auf Cherry Profil tippt, sollte die unbedingt mal ausprobieren, das ist ein ganz tolles Schreibgefühl. Bei dem Preis kann man nun wirklich nix falsch machen. Und die Qualität ist top.
