Mill-Max Hot-Swap Sockets
Mill-Max hot-swap sockets are used to add hot-swap functionality to keyboard solder PCB's. Each Switch requires 2 sockets, one unit contains 50 sockets for 25 switches.
Mill-Max 3305-1 sockets are among the shorter sockets so that they do not protrude beyond switch and there is no contact problem at the bottom of the keyboard. Also these are the sockets with the thinnest “lip” and thus offer the best hold of the switches.
Mill-Max 0305-2 sockets are a bit cheaper than 3305-1 but these sockets are also a bit longer which can lead to interferences between the PCB and the Bottom Case of your keyboard if there is not enough space. On the positive side, these are typically a bit easier to solder in.
