Bridge75 - 75% ISO+ANSI Fully-Built Mechanical Aluminium Keyboard [Preorder]

Mit der Bridge75 bekommt man ein qualitatives Custom Keyboard als Pre-Build. Das Tippgefühl mit den mitgelieferten Princess Ultra Switches ist echt top. Switches haben kein "Wobble", Keycaps sind stabil mit einem klassischen und sauberem Font. Was auch gefällt ist, dass die Tastatur für ein Custom Board (in dem Fall mit Cherry Profil) relativ flach ist, die abgeschrägte Lippe an der Unterkante der Tastatur steuert dem bei.

Leider hatte mein Exemplar keine guten Stabilizer (Leertaste, Backspace und Enter). Diese waren nur leicht gelubed und saßen auch sehr locker auf der Plate. Es gab das bekannte "Rattle Geräusch". Ich musste selbst Hand anlegen. Tape Mod, Wire Balancing und nochmal neu gelubed. Jetzt sind Sie Top und ich bin zufrieden.

Was auch Schade ist, dass keine andersfarbigen Keycaps für Escape, Enter, Spacebar etc. bei liegen.

Bearbeitung und Versand von Monacokeys war sehr schnell und unkompliziert, jetzt kommt das große Aber: Der Versanddienstleister. Das Paket hat etwas länger als gewöhnlich gebraucht, was nicht ganz so tragisch ist. Allerdings ist es nicht Ordnung das Paket, vorallem bei Regen, ohne Abstell-Okay etc. einfach ohne zu klingeln vor die Haustür zu schmeißen (Mehrfamilienhaus) und zu fahren. Ich rate Monacokeys hier, sich von dem Versandunternehmen zu distanzieren und bei den "gelben Freunden mit den 3 Buchstaben" zu bleiben ;-), auch wenn es paar € Mehrkosten sind. Die Kunden werden es danken.

Alles in Allem gibt es von mir 4 Sterne.

The firmware is just terrible. The keyboard doesn't wake up after it fell asleep. That's a well-known issue. And it's not clear if the lazy manufacturers will ever fix it for the ISO version.

The battery power consumption is ridiculous. The otherwise nicely build keyboard has 8 Ah(!) of battery capacity - that doesn't last 1 week. Even with RGB turned off. The firmware is a joke and degrades the keyboard to a toy. The battery issue applies to both layout versions. If you want to operate the keyboard in wireless mode and plan to use it daily e.g. at your office or just for being productive at home, I don't recommend this product.
If you need to decorate your desk or need a beautiful RGB paperweight you can give it a try.

It's really difficult to find a good prebuild from any Chinese company. Because they half-heartedly hack the official QMK firmware to support wireless we always get unstable products.

I recommend finding an open source project and build your own keyboard or buy from a company that is not Chinese or has implemented their own firmware. Because these annoying Chinese manufacturers don't care much to maintain their firmware. These are rip-off products for the blinded masses: look good, perform bad.

Those are two stars for the build quality which is ok. ISO user experience is zero.

I was perfectly satisfied with delivery and the product itself. It is my first true mechanical board and my first 75% layout even. Can't say that I had no doubts but everything is allright.
The switches are ideal, I put the Monacokeys PBS Retro Keycaps in the board - feels and Looks Like heaven 😉

Very good keyboard and high quality would recommend

Well i was sceptical with this product, as all the videos in you tube are showing how great it is even out of the box..

I am really surprised that it is even better that someone is decribing on a video.
Also the purchase with monacokeys was really great and always have answered all my quesitons :)

Only two things i would mention:

1st. The company shortcut studio is a kickstarter which means they are not yet established, which means there are not many infos about them, but also their sales & coverage policies...
2nd. As i purchased an ISO keyboard, that can be either all black or all white keys. So the 2-colour or 3-colour layouts are only for the english so that makes the keyboard looks boring.
I have asked at least to include to the black version the Enter+Tab+Esc key in white (same opposite for the white version.. in black) but that has been refused :(

anyhow as the Plus comes 130€ free transportation fees, just invest another 30€ for some extra other colour key and still will be cheap enough vs. some keychrones or other high end keyboards.

And btw. this keyboard is better than Rainy75.. so the time will tell then how durable will be, but i am confident enough...
