Zoom64 — premium 60% custom build with character
The Meletrix Zoom64 is Wuque Studio's latest answer to the question of how a 60% custom build should look today: a solid CNC aluminum case with a distinctive All-Aspect Grand Curve profile, an integrated knurled rotary knob for precise control, a hybrid damping system with a choice between two mounting structures — and all of it rounded out by recessed 360° underglow lighting that makes the case glow as if from within. Available with us as a complete mechanical keyboard kit with tri-mode non-flex cut hot-swap PCB and multilayout support — you only need to add your favorite switches and keycaps.

All-Aspect Grand Curve — design without superfluous edges
The bottom case of the Zoom64 is constructed as a single, flowing wraparound curve that eliminates all unnecessary edges. Like a river stone polished by time, the case cradles the internal components in a continuous, harmonious line. The side concave "Aurora Arc" profiles create visual depth and a modern look that stands out on any desk — without being intrusive.

Recessed knurled rotary knob — programmable via VIA
Integrated directly into the 64-key layout sits a knurled metal rotary knob that not only delivers excellent tactile feedback but is also fully programmable via VIA. By default it functions as a volume dial, but you can also turn it into a scroll wheel, brush size controller, or any macro tool you define. The seamless integration into the compact 60% layout is a design detail that sets the Zoom64 apart from many other 60% boards.

Hybrid damping system — choose between two mounting structures
Both mounting systems are included in the Zoom64 kit — you can swap between them at will, depending on which typing feel you currently prefer:
- Silica gel particle mounting (recommended) — structurally more stable, with a focused sound profile. Also suitable for foam-free configurations.
- O-ring mounting — softer, bouncier typing feel with additional cushioning
Both mounting options support foam-free tuning and effectively eliminate the notorious "case ping" — so you don't have to choose between clean sound and cushioned typing feel.
Foam kit options for individual acoustics
During configuration, you can choose between three different foam kit variants that noticeably alter the sound profile of the Zoom64:
- Standard foam: Classic foam with a characteristic sound that matures from bright to mellow over time
- Cork foam: Delivers a crisper sound profile with distinctive character — unusual on the market and especially appealing for sound enthusiasts
- Poron foam: Maximum durability and consistency with a muted sound — ideal for office environments
360° underglow — light from within the case
One of the most elegant design decisions of the Zoom64: the seamless 360° bottom light strip is artfully concealed within the transitions of the case silhouette. When activated, the light appears to emanate organically from within — softly contouring the complete case silhouette. Not an intrusive RGB spectacle, but a subtle, atmospheric glow that integrates perfectly into modern setups. The PCB additionally features south-facing per-key RGB that shimmers through the keycaps.

Functional details that make the difference
- "Racetrack" bottom weight with wave texture — looks elegant and provides a secure grip when moving the keyboard
- "Twin-eared" silicone feet — shaped in the same design language as the case, providing stable footing with distinctive character
- Diverse finish options depending on the color variant: 220-mesh anodizing, spray anodizing, carving, or marbleano effect
- Up to 20 color variants, including limited editions like Midnight Ink Glow, Glacier Startrail, and Forged Flow
60% multilayout — compact but uncompromising
The Zoom64 isn't just a case but a flexible platform for multiple classic 60% layouts. The multilayout PCB supports:
- ANSI and ISO Enter (incl. ISO-DE with umlauts and ß)
- Split backspace
- Stepped caps lock
- Split left shift
Note on keycap compatibility: the Zoom64 uses a 2U and 1U Shift key. When buying a keycap set, verify that this size is included.
Tri-mode non-flex cut hot-swap PCB (1.6 mm)
With us, the Zoom64 ships with the tri-mode non-flex cut hot-swap PCB (1.6 mm) — the more stable, less flexible PCB variant that delivers a clearer, more focused sound. The most important features:
- USB-C wired — 1000 Hz polling rate, ≈0.6 ms latency
- 2.4 GHz wireless — 1000 Hz polling rate, ≈1.1 ms latency
- Bluetooth 5.4 — 133 Hz polling rate, ≈8 ms latency
- Up to 5 simultaneous connections possible
- South-facing per-key RGB
- NKRO
- VIA compatible via dedicated web software
- Hot-swap, 5-pin MX compatible
- Compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android
Plate options for individual typing feel
During configuration, you can choose from several plate materials that significantly influence typing feel and sound:
- Aluminum: Crisp, precise, higher tonal profile — sharp sound
- FR4: Balanced, slightly softer than aluminum, warm sound profile
- POM: Very soft bottom-out with subtly dampened sound
- PC (polycarbonate): Flexible, bouncy typing feel with dampened sound
Low front-height sloped design
With a front height of 17.8 mm, a rear height of 32.2 mm, and a typing angle of 6.5°, the Zoom64 is ergonomically thought through — the sloped form relieves wrist pressure and reduces fatigue during long writing sessions, without requiring a separate wrist rest.
Kit content — everything for your build
The Zoom64 ships as a complete barebone kit with all the components you need for a successful build — including tri-mode PCB, your chosen plate, foam kit, both mounting systems, stabilizers, USB cable, 2.4 GHz receiver, and tools. You only need to add your preferred switches and keycaps.
Note on aluminum craftsmanship
Please note: with anodized and coated aluminum keyboards, minor cosmetic variations (e.g., minimal color deviations, slight surface inconsistencies) can occur — this is normal for this manufacturing process and is not grounds for warranty claims. If a perfectly uniform finish is important to you, we recommend the spray anodizing or marbleano variants.
Who is the Zoom64 for?
- Custom keyboard lovers looking for a 60% custom build with premium craftsmanship
- Modding enthusiasts who want to experiment with plate materials, foam variants, and mounting systems
- Sound-conscious builders who appreciate foam-free tuning and acoustic fine-tuning
- Wireless workflows that need a flexible multi-device setup with up to 5 connections
- Design-conscious setup enthusiasts who want a statement piece with characterful industrial design
Note: The Zoom64 is designed as a barebone kit without switches and keycaps. You'll need to source both separately — but with the custom build experience, that's part of the fun.
