One of the most-requested Neo additions has finally arrived: the Qwertykeys Neo75 Prebuilt and Neo98 Prebuilt are now available for preorder at MonacoKeys. Two of the most popular boards in the Neo lineup are launching for the first time as fully assembled, ready-to-type keyboards – with the same custom build quality that made Qwertykeys' name, just without the DIY work.
If you know the Neo series, you know what this means: a solid CNC aluminium case, a thoughtful gasket mount construction, carefully tuned acoustics – and a typing feel that's hard to match in the custom keyboard world.
Two layouts for different workflows
The Neo75 Prebuilt brings the celebrated Neo DNA into a compact 75% format – full functionality without the numpad bulk, perfect for heavy typists, coders, and anyone who values desk space.
The Neo98 Prebuilt is Neo Studio's answer to what a modern full-format keyboard should look like in the custom world: complete functionality including a numpad – but in a noticeably more compact footprint than classic 100% boards, with indented key clusters and a denser overall layout.
Pre-installed London Fog V2 switches
Both models ship with the revamped Owlab London Fog V2 linear switches, factory-installed and perfectly tuned to the board. At roughly 43 g actuation and 49 g bottom-out, they type slightly lighter than a classic Cherry Red – but with a noticeably smoother downstroke and a characteristically soft, dampened bottom-out. The sound is deep and focused, never drifting into generic plastic clatter.
Layouts and keycaps – ISO or ANSI
Both prebuilts come in two layout variants:
• DE-ISO variant – with high-quality PBT dye-sub keycaps. Complete German layout with umlauts, ß, and the proper enter key – no workarounds, no improvising. Dye-sublimation permanently anchors the legends in the material so they don't wear off.
• ANSI-US variant – with Qwertykeys' newly developed double-shot ABS keycaps. Legends and body are two separate plastic injection moldings, physically anchoring the legend in the material. ABS gives a slightly smoother, glossier feel and a crisper sound profile. Neo Studio also blends a small percentage of PBT into the ABS, which reduces the typical ABS shine that usually develops after a few months of daily use.
Four color variants – carefully curated
Both prebuilts come in four colorways, each available in DE-ISO and ANSI:
• Anodized Black – the timeless classic, professional and understated
- Anodized Taupe Grey – warm, neutral grey that pairs with almost any keycap set
- Anodized Slate Blue – muted blue-grey tone with character
- Spray-Coated White – clean, bright white with the signature spray-coat surface – the only non-anodized variant in the lineup
Tri-mode wireless with hardware toggle
Both boards ship with Qwertykeys' tri-mode hot-swap PCB – three ways to connect:
• USB-C wired
- 2.4 GHz wireless via the included receiver (with extension adapter)
- Bluetooth
For the prebuilt version, the connectivity toggle and the Win/Mac switch were relocated to the outside of the case – right next to the USB-C port. No keystroke combos, no opening the case: one finger, one motion. Two 2200 mAh batteries deliver long wireless sessions – long enough that you'll usually forget when you last charged.
Gasket mount with multi-layer foam kit
The prebuilt versions use a polypropylene plate with Qwertykeys' proven gasket mount system, including the well-loved Poron gaskets from the Neo80 Cu – these sit in a clever grooved structure with no adhesive, making swaps simple and leaving no residue. Unlike the custom version, the prebuilts ship with a full multi-layer foam kit – with internals specifically tuned for this sound profile (the grooved bottom case has been smoothed, for example). The result: a lively, full sound profile free of hollow cavity resonance.
Per-key RGB and full VIA/VIAL support
The PCB supports south-facing per-key RGB – important for clean lighting with Cherry-profile keycaps – and is fully VIA and VIAL compatible. Remap any key, record macros, set up layers – all browser-based, no software installation needed.
Ball-catch and magnetic connectors – even on the prebuilt
Even though the prebuilts arrive factory-tuned, Qwertykeys kept the celebrated ball-catch mechanism and magnetic connectors. So if you want to mod, swap switches, or tweak the foam kit later, you can open the case completely tool-free – press, lift, done.
What's in the box – ready to type
The prebuilts arrive fully equipped:
• Keyboard, fully assembled with switches and keycaps installed
- Dust cover
- USB-C cable with shielded connector
- Switch and keycap puller
- 2.4 GHz receiver including extension adapter
- 3 Mac modifier keycaps for multi-platform workflows
- 3 spare switches
- Quick guide
Who are the Neo prebuilts for?

- Custom build newcomers looking for premium custom-grade quality without a soldering iron
- Office and home setups that need a quiet, high-quality keyboard ready to use out of the box
- Wireless workflows with multi-device needs – the tri-mode setup and external toggle make device switching effortless
