PBTFans 1984 R2 – PBT Keycap Set

PBTFans 1984 R2 is the rerelease of a cult favorite set, inspired by George Orwell's famous novel. Crisp accent colors meet a sober, technical base palette — a look that combines literary depth with minimalist elegance.

The R2 version brings refined molds and carefully tuned color nuances. Dye-sublimation on high-quality PBT material anchors the legends deep in the material — completely abrasion-resistant, with fine detail and clean edges.

Cherry profile with a pleasantly textured surface and deep sound character. Modular kit selection with layout support for ANSI, ISO-DE, ISO-UK, and more. Compatible with all MX-style switches.

Variant: German Base ( ISO-DE | ANSI-DE )

Good to know

  • •Surface: finely textured, feels rather smooth smootherrougher
  • •PBT: usually develops shine more slowly than ABS – how fast also depends on the texture. In return PBT is a bit more sensitive to scratches, e.g. from tools or fingernails.
  • •Dye-sub: the colour is dyed into a light keycap – legends don't rub off. Colours are usually not quite as intense as double-shot.
  • •Cherry profile: the standard for custom keycaps – a bit lower than the keys of regular office keyboards.
  • ✓Fits MX-style switches (Cherry MX and compatible)
  • ✓Includes German layout (ISO-DE)
