Components

The components section is home to all the individual parts for your custom build or your next upgrade: cases, PCBs, plates and spare parts. Unlike finished boards or kits, these are loose components you can use to repair, mod or gradually piece together your dream setup.

Keyboard cases, PCBs and plates, sold individually

Components are the loose parts of a keyboard: case, PCB and plate. You buy them individually when you put a board together yourself, replace a part or rebuild an existing keyboard. What matters is that the three parts fit each other.

What to check when combining

With hot-swap PCBs a plate is required as a guide, with solder PCBs it is optional. The layout has to match on all three parts, for example 60% or 65% and ISO or ANSI. The plate decides where switches can sit, the PCB determines whether you plug in or solder switches, and the case defines how PCB and plate are mounted. An overview is in the guide keyboard sizes and layouts.

Case, PCB and plate at a glance

With keyboard cases it is about material, weight and mounting. Keyboard PCBs differ in hot-swap or solder, wired or wireless and firmware. With keyboard plates the material determines stiffness and sound, for example PP, FR4 or aluminium.

Build, repair or upgrade

With individual parts you can repair a board, try a different material or fit a case with your own PCB. If you want a complete set, look at the keyboards and kits. If you only need small parts such as screws or gaskets, the spare parts will help. In-stock items ship from Germany within one working day.
