MK60MX — the versatile 60% PCB for GH60 builds
The MK60MX is a versatile 60% wired hot-swap PCB in the GH60 standard format, designed as a replacement or upgrade option for a broad range of common 60% cases. Instead of being manufacturer-specific, the MK60MX relies on the established GH60 hole pattern — fitting into numerous 60% builds. Fully QMK, VIA, and VIAL compatible, with per-key RGB, additional underglow LEDs, and all the important layout options. Designed by Quark.
Layout flexibility without compromise
The MK60MX supports both ISO and ANSI layouts on a single PCB — with extensive multi-layout options for the main areas:
- ISO + ANSI layout support
- Split left shift
- Split right shift
- Split backspace + regular backspace
- Stepped capslock
- 6.25U and 7U spacebar
Flexible connection — break-away USB-C or daughterboard
The MK60MX offers two connection options: it features a built-in USB-C port in break-away design — the USB-C section can be detached if needed, in case your case requires a separate daughterboard solution. Alternatively, the MK60MX can be connected via a Unified Daughterboard. For this, a PicoMolex EZMate connector is used on the PCB — more precise, smaller, and more reliable than classic JST connectors.
Case compatibility
The MK60MX is GH60 standard compatible and therefore automatically fits all cases that support the GH60 standard — including, among others, the KBDfans Tofu60 Redux, the Tofu60 Redux V2, and the Bakeneko60. Beyond that, it is compatible with many other 60% keyboards that support tray mount or O-ring mount. For these, compatibility should be checked individually. Thanks to its flexible connection (break-away USB-C or daughterboard), the MK60MX adapts to a wide variety of case designs.
Per-key RGB and underglow
The MK60MX features per-key RGB LEDs — each key individually configurable, from understated setups to reactive effects and animations. Additionally, underglow LEDs provide an atmospheric lighting effect beneath the board that especially shines in transparent or acrylic cases (such as the acrylic variant of the Tofu60 Redux V2).
1.6 mm non-flex-cut
The MK60MX uses a 1.6 mm non-flex-cut PCB — without flex cuts for a firmer, more stable, and more direct typing character with precise bottom-out. The ideal foundation for everyone who prefers a clearly defined, consistent typing feel.
QMK with VIA and VIAL — full customizability
The MK60MX runs on the proven QMK firmware (firmware source code will be released) and is both VIA and VIAL compatible. This lets you remap every single key, record macros, set up layers, and tailor the board exactly to your workflow — directly in the browser, without driver installation.
