About us

MonacoKeys is an online shop for mechanical keyboards, keycaps, switches, deskmats and accessories from the Munich area in Germany. Since 2023 we have been bringing custom keyboards and keycaps with a focus on ISO and ISO-DE layouts to Germany and Europe – shipped fast from our own warehouse.

Where our name comes from

We started MonacoKeys in Munich and have since moved to Krailling – still just outside the city. Our name reflects both where we come from and what we do. In Italy, Munich is called “Monaco di Baviera”, and in Monaco itself people speak French. So our name builds a bridge between different languages – all of which are at home on the ISO layout.

What you’ll find here

Keyboards – kits, barebones and fully built boards from 40% to full-size, for example from QwertyKeys (Neo), KBDFans, Niuniu, IQUNIX and Nuxros.
Keycaps in ISO and ISO-DE – plus ANSI-DE, ANSI and other layouts. Brands like KAP, PBTFans, MW, KKB and SWG, plus our own MK sets.
Switches – linear, tactile, silent and Hall effect switches, many with a sound test on our YouTube channel. To try them out, there’s the MonacoKeys Switch Tester.
Our own products – MK keycap sets, the MK60MX and MK65MX(W) PCBs, lubricants and the Mini Lube Station, 3D-printed in Germany.

Group buys and pre-orders

Many custom keyboards and keycap sets are made as group buys: orders come first, then production. We bring these projects to Germany for you. You can always see where each project stands – announced, in production, on its way or shipped – on our Project Updates page.
