📄 Product Description
KBDFans · Design: Masro
Chamber TKL – room for the sound
Instead of suppressing the sound with foam, the Chamber gives it space: case volume, geometry, materials and internal structure are tuned so that switches, plate and case keep their own character.

- Top mountwith PTFE force-break pads
- 7° typing angleTKL, WK or WKL
- 3 internal weightsstainless steel, copper, aluminium
- Solder or hot-swapANSI and ISO
01 · Idea
Shaping sound instead of muffling it
As the Chamber evolved, its guiding idea shifted: away from controlling the sound and towards giving it room to resonate naturally.
Rather than relying heavily on foam, the Chamber works with the interplay of case volume, geometry, materials and internal structure. The aim is a balanced whole in which switches, plate and case stay audible – not a one-size-fits-all sound that irons everything flat.

02 · Case
A line you can't just chamfer
The Chamber's most recognisable feature is its side profile. The line looks simple, but it can't be made with a conventional chamfer or standard exterior machining.
Machined from below
A dedicated cutting tool machines the case inward from the underside, creating its continuous curve. The detail has been there since the earliest prototypes.
A trace of the prototype
The lines on the underside take their cue from the internal ribs of the first prototype. The ribs were later removed from the inside, but their form lives on outside.

03 · Internal weight
A weight that runs through the case
The Chamber's internal weight extends from inside the case to the visible underside. Its material, mass distribution and connection to the case influence how the build responds to every keystroke.
On its inner face, an elongated, racetrack-shaped recess surrounds a narrow central ridge. This machined profile shapes the material distribution and the space beneath the PCB – tuning the resonance together with switches, plate and mount.

04 · Mount
Top mount: direct and firm
The Chamber uses a dedicated top-mount structure with direct, firm feedback. PTFE force-break pads (0.17 mm) sit between the case halves: they prevent direct metal-to-metal contact and so reduce vibration transfer and unwanted case resonance.

05 · PCB
Solder or hot-swap, ANSI or ISO
All PCBs are wired, made from FR4 and run Vial firmware – VIA compatible. The layout is a classic TKL, either WK or WKL. The diagrams show which key positions each PCB supports.

Solder PCB
For soldering, with the most layout options – ANSI and ISO on one PCB.

Hot-swap PCB ANSI
Plug in and swap switches freely, ANSI layout.

Hot-swap PCB ISO
Hot-swap with ISO enter – a match for ISO keycap sets such as German layouts.
06 · Plate
Four plates, four characters
The plate has a big say in typing feel and sound. The Chamber comes with a choice of four materials – all made for the top mount.

Aluminium (black)
Stiff and direct – the classic, crisp bottom-out.

Polycarbonate (PC)
Softer and more flexible, with a more muted, deeper sound.

FR4
Glass-fibre composite that sits between aluminium and PC in feel.

Carbon fibre
Stiff and light, with a snappy bottom-out.
07 · Foam kit
Foam only if you want it
The Chamber is designed to sound good without a lot of foam. If you want to tune the sound further, there's an optional foam kit – in a separate version for the solder and the hot-swap PCB. Just pick the kit that matches your PCB.

09 · Who is it for?
Who is the Chamber for?
For sound tinkerers
You want to hear what switches, plate and weight actually do, instead of burying everything under foam – that's exactly what the Chamber is built for.
For top-mount fans
You like a firm, direct typing feel and a heavy TKL with a clean line that you can fine-tune through weight, PCB and plate.
The Chamber is a barebone kit: you'll need switches, keycaps and stabilisers on top – find matching models in Stabilizers. More TKL boards are in our 80% keyboards.
