Star Ring Accent Light

Inspired by massive celestial bodies whose gravity warps surrounding space, the top case of the Neo80 Cu features a multi-layered, illuminated "star ring" accent light – a planet glowing against the dark night sky.

The central "planet" is crafted from aluminum alloy with a triple-etched finish that resembles a rugged planetary surface. A surrounding stainless-steel piece with a mirror finish mimics the dark universe background. By elevating the planet slightly above the background, the design creates a stunning "floating planet" effect that adds depth to the board.

This contrast of materials and textures embodies romanticism in the industrial age: the matte, textured planet stands against the glossy, seamless dark sky – reserving a slice of the universe for your desktop.

Weight Design

Building on the extensive weight design of its predecessor, the Neo80 Cu takes the concept further by extending the weight all the way to the USB port area. This refinement showcases the harmonious blend of several materials – anodized aluminum, brass and stainless steel – with their complementary colors.

On the back, the intersection of the weight and the bottom case features a carefully sculpted slope that softens transitions. The compass-inspired Neo series logo sits in the center, underscoring the brand's iconic symbolism.

Beyond aesthetics, the brass weight combined with the brass bottom case brings the Neo80 Cu to approximately 4.5 kg. This substantial heft ensures exceptional stability and provides a solid foundation for its deep, clean sound profile with minimal vibration.

The Waistline

Viewed from the side, the top and bottom cases merge seamlessly with gentle curves. By avoiding sharp angles, the design creates an elegant, floating silhouette that perfectly balances the keyboard's substantial presence.

Mounting: Poron Gasket, Silicone Gasket & Top Mount

After extensive prototyping, a Poron gasket structure was integrated. Unlike traditional Poron gaskets that need to be glued to the case, special grooves in the bottom case hold the gaskets securely in place – allowing hassle-free replacement and excellent long-term durability.

The silicone gasket mount structure is retained as an alternative, and the Neo80 Cu additionally supports a top mount option for enthusiasts who prefer a stiffer typing experience. The gaskets and screws for all three options are included.

Acoustics: Forcebreak & Partitioned Chamber

Like most products in the Neo family, the bottom case features a strategically partitioned acoustic chamber that minimizes hollowness and unwanted resonance. Integrated forcebreak pads at all contact points between the top and bottom cases significantly reduce vibration and eliminate metallic noise.

Combined with the massive brass foundation, this design delivers a deep, clean typing sound – without any foam. The signature Neo sound that the community loves.

Acoustic Package

While the Neo80 Cu already delivers a satisfying typing sound without any foam, every unit includes a complete acoustic package with Poron PCB foam, a PE sheet and case foam. You can keep the signature "no-foam" sound or customize your acoustic experience – full control over your keyboard's sound profile.

Tri-Mode ISO Hot-Swap PCB & VIA

The Neo80 Cu ships with a tri-mode ISO hot-swap PCB (non-flex-cut, 1.6 mm). It supports USB-C (wired), Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless, is NKRO-capable and VIA-compatible. The polling rate is 1000 Hz in wired and 2.4 GHz mode and 125 Hz in Bluetooth mode. A 2.4 GHz dongle is included, and two 2200 mAh batteries come pre-installed in the battery compartment.

Thanks to hot-swap, switches can be changed without soldering. Note: the PCB supports the ISO layout and has no per-key RGB – lighting is limited to the star ring accent light.
