📄 Product Description
Sonoma – "Valley of the Moon", a 65% with a Magnetic Swappable Accent
The Sonoma is a 65% keyboard by Wired In that stages a distinctive contrast: circular elements set into an otherwise strictly rectangular form, guided by a minimalist, symmetrical design philosophy. The name – from the Native American term for "valley of the moon" – guides the form: circular geometry threaded through a strict rectangular case, every line refined by hand.

Phases – the Four Colorways
Each colorway is thought through end to end – case, weight, badge and accent – not just a paint job:
- Sterling: silver anodized aluminum with clear-coated stainless steel accents and weight
- Flux: translucent polycarbonate with clear-coated copper accents and weight
- Lunar: cream e-coat finish with clear-coated copper accents and weight
- Blood Moon: red anodized aluminum with polished black PVD stainless steel accents and weight

Underglow LED
The Sonoma features underglow LED lighting. It comes into its own especially with the Flux case made of translucent polycarbonate – the light shines through the case and makes the colorway truly glow.
Magnetic. Interchangeable.
The rear accent locks in via neodymium magnets – satisfying to install and impossible to misalign. Tested to zero rattle; tight tolerances keep the acoustic isolation intact. Internal buffering absorbs metal-on-metal contact, so swaps don't add wear. Change colorways without ever lifting a screwdriver.

Flex by Design
The gasket-mounted plate-on-PCB sandwich isn't decorative – it's tuned. Press a key and the entire assembly absorbs into the silicone gaskets, returning energy back into the typist's hand.

Three Ways to Mount
Three mounting options ship in every box – O-ring, a gasket-mounted plate sandwich, or gaskets on a plateless PCB. The same gasket set fits both the plate sandwich and the bare board, so the feel is yours to dial in – rare flexibility for a unibody case.
- O-ring mount (isolation): a single silicone O-ring suspends the plate off the case – the softest, bounciest mount.
- Plate mount (gasket sandwich): gaskets cushion a plate-and-PCB sandwich. Balanced flex with structure underfoot.
- PCB mount (bare board): gaskets straight onto a plateless PCB. Maximum flex – direct, soft and lightweight.

Two Durometers
Silicone gasket sets in 50A (orange) and 80A (black) ship in every box. Soft cushion or firm, direct bottom-out – swap them like guitar strings to tune the typing feel.
PCB Options
The Sonoma is available with two PCB variants, both in the WK 65% layout and with support for ANSI and ISO:
- Wired hot-swap: tool-free switch changes, USB-C
- Solder: for permanent, soldered builds, USB-C
Plates
Three plate materials are available and shape typing feel and sound: FR4, aluminum and carbon fiber.
Who is the Sonoma for?
The Sonoma is for anyone who wants to combine a compact 65% layout with a considered, expressive design. The magnetic swappable accent and the three mounting options make it especially appealing for tinkerers who want to adjust both looks and typing feel without tools – from a soft O-ring bounce to a firm, direct bottom-out.
With four fully styled colorways, underglow lighting and the choice between hot-swap and solder PCBs, it's as much a desk centerpiece as it is a customizable daily driver.
Note: The Sonoma is a barebone kit. Switches and keycaps are not included and are available separately. The PCB (of your choice), plate (of your choice), the three mounting options and both gasket durometers (50A/80A) are included.
