KAP MV Classic is an uncompromising premium edition in the classic MV style and arguably the most elaborate keycap set in our lineup. More than 130 individually crafted custom molds were produced specifically for this set in order to manufacture every single character cleanly in the double-shot process — rather than relying on cheaper sublegends or printed novelty caps as is common elsewhere.

The set uses a unique double-shot + dye-sub hybrid process: in the first shot, all characters are injection-molded, then the colors are introduced into the material via dye-sublimation, before the second outer shot closes the final cap shape. The result: razor-sharp legends with the depth of double-shot and the color flexibility of dye-sub — both in a single cap.

Available in Light and Dark. The Dark variant ships with a complimentary Alpha Fit Kit included — letting you build the set either with the originally produced, slightly brownish-toned alphas or with the neutral grey alphas shown in the product photos. Cherry profile in thick-walled PBT for a full, deep sound character. Compatible with all MX-style switches.

Variant: Light Base Kit

Good to know

•Surface: finely textured, feels smooth smootherrougher
•PBT: usually develops shine more slowly than ABS – how fast also depends on the texture. In return PBT is a bit more sensitive to scratches, e.g. from tools or fingernails.
•Double-shot: legends and keycap colour are moulded separately – colours are cleanly separated and the legends stay crisp and readable even after years of use. The process with the most vivid colours.
•Cherry profile: the standard for custom keycaps – a bit lower than the keys of regular office keyboards.
✓Fits MX-style switches (Cherry MX and compatible)
✓Includes German layout (ISO-DE)

A great keycap set supporting a lot of languages

I think I can now manage to learn the position of english / american special keys and finally make sense of the strange keyboard shortcuts I encounter in many programs. At first glance, the keys seem to be well-made, I especially like the different colors highlighting special positions for different languages.

High praise also goes to the retailer MonacoKeys, who keeps you well informed about the progress of the group order without bombarding you with emails. Enquiries are still answered promptly.

Great touch

Sending was extremely fast. Touch, feel and sound are great! The color of the alpha keys are not entirely my preferred color when actually seeing them in real life, but that's personal preference.

Hab mir dieses Set für mein erstes custom keyboard ausgesucht und es ist super. Die Qualität ist absolut top und durch und man hat so viele Möglichkeiten. Dieses Set dürfte so ziemlich jedes Layout abdecken.
