MK Essential White on Black is our no-frills essential set: black keycaps with white legends and nothing extra – it fits practically any keyboard and any setup.


The legends are fully German – Strg, Entf, Einfg, Pos1, Ende and Druck – with umlauts, ß and an ISO Enter, so on an ISO-DE keyboard everything is where you expect it. The set covers layouts from 60% to 100% and comes in simple packaging.


Made from PBT using the double-shot process in Cherry profile, with a wall thickness of around 1.5 mm: the legends are a separate layer of plastic and won't wear off, and PBT stays grippy for a long time. Compatible with all MX-style switches.

Good to know

  • •PBT: usually develops shine more slowly than ABS – how fast also depends on the texture. In return PBT is a bit more sensitive to scratches, e.g. from tools or fingernails.
  • •Double-shot: legends and keycap colour are moulded separately – colours are cleanly separated and the legends stay crisp and readable even after years of use. The process with the most vivid colours.
  • •Cherry profile: the standard for custom keycaps – a bit lower than the keys of regular office keyboards.
  • ✓Fits MX-style switches (Cherry MX and compatible)
