📄 Product Description
GH60 plate — typing feel and sound your way
The plate is one of the most important factors for your keyboard's typing feel and sound. It sits between the switches and the PCB and significantly influences how soft or firm the keystroke feels and how the board sounds. This GH60 plate is tuned for our MK60MX PCB as well as numerous other GH60 builds and available in three materials — so you can specifically adjust the character of your build.
Three materials — three characters
Each plate material brings its own typing and sound profile:
- PP (polypropylene) — the softest material with pronounced flex. Delivers a cushioned, "bouncy" typing feel and a dampened, warm sound profile. Ideal for everyone who prefers a very soft, marshmallow-like keystroke.
- Aluminum — the firmest material with a clear, direct keystroke. Delivers precise, bright acoustics with defined bottom-out and minimal flex. The classic choice for a traditional, "clacky" custom feel.
- FR4 — the balanced middle ground. Offers a typing feel between PP and aluminum: moderate flex with pleasant warmth in the sound, without being too soft or too hard. The versatile all-rounder.
Layout support
The GH60 plate supports the same layout options as the MK60MX PCB and is therefore ideally suited for flexible multi-layout builds:
- ISO and ANSI
- Split left shift
- Split right shift
- Split backspace + regular backspace
- Stepped capslock
- 6.25U and 7U bottom row
Compatibility
The plate is tuned for our MK60MX PCB as well as the GH60 standard format and therefore fits numerous 60% builds. As always with custom builds, it's recommended to cross-check layout and PCB before purchase to ensure the optimal combination.
Note: Only the plate is offered here. Switches, keycaps, PCB, and case are not included.
