The MetaPulse EC Parts are individually available, high-precision EC components and part of the MetaPulse ecosystem by MetaKeebs. Each component is engineered to deliver maximum compatibility, smooth movement, and a top-tier typing feel – whether you're optimizing an existing EC build, replacing a single faulty slider, or starting a brand-new project.
Identifying the Slider Variants
The sliders can be told apart by color and stem geometry:
- Blue sliders: HHKB / Realforce Integrated version
- MX sliders: Cross stem for MX keycaps
- OEM sliders: No cross stem, for OEM / Topre keycaps
Standard Version
Standard sliders are exclusively compatible with MetaPulse housings. They are designed for builds that use a separate, standalone plate (e.g. stainless steel, aluminum, or other third-party plates). This setup is commonly found in Realforce keyboards and custom EC projects where components are assembled in layers. Each housing is inserted separately into the plate – resulting in a more structured, modular build typical of the custom keyboard scene.
HHKB Integrated Version
The HHKB Integrated sliders are designed specifically for original HHKB or Realforce housings. Since the angles of these housings differ from standard variants, a dedicated version is required. This construction is mainly found in HHKB-style keyboards, where the switch housing is part of a single, integrated structure within the case assembly. By reducing the number of separate components, you get a softer, more uniform typing feel. The sliders are also compatible with designs that follow the same integrated approach, such as the Norbauer ABS Heavy Grail Plate.
